Rogue

   




   Rogue in all of her hooded goodness, done on recycled chipboard using pen & ink, watercolor and white acrylics. This substrate is proving to be really fun to create study pieces on so I think that I'm going to stick with it for a bit.

 
   Fairy tales are everywhere these days, so I jumped at the chance to try my hand at Snow White.  This is the finished version of the previously posted sketch.  Using brush and ink, Copics and a quick white wash on recycled chip board.

 

   WIP during lunch today.... trying a 50's style Snow White on recycled chipboard.

 
   I've always loved carving pumpkins... this is my creation for Halloween 2011.  I went to purchase a victim for this years carving and spotted this gem being passed by like an old dog at the pound.  I new that this gourd needed to be rescued, and this is the result.  I also found a small led strobe light that fit nice inside along with the traditional candle.    This created a nice spooky feel for this creature which the treaters seemed to get a real kick out of.

Hello... I'm Renfro

   My first set of hopefully many more pics of this fun little guy. Coming off the heels of dealing with frozen pipes this week and subarctic temps. Sometimes don't you just wish that you could use a stick of dynamite to eradicate your problems? His name originates from the jar of jalapenos that spilled across the makeshift kitchen counter while taking this shot.

Jazz

   Transformers Generations Jazz toy in hand head study. Getting warmed up for the day and logging more time with digital sketching. Jazz was one of my favorite characters in G1 growing up and this new figure doesn't disapoint in the least!

This has been a long time coming... I finally saved enough pennies to acquire a Cintiq 21ux to my arsenal. It's time to embrace the digital age and start upping the ante on my digital work. Which is a good thing since my art studio is currently overrun by a hoard of Transformers!
